Top 5 Things You Need to Know About the New Websites 360®

With the new Websites 360® website building platform now fully launched, it’s even easier to manage and design your responsive mobile-friendly website. We have incorporated years of research and feedback from Websites 360® website owners to make the platform better in every way.

There are hundreds of new features and enhancements in the platform, all designed to make your website management easier than ever. We’ve put this guide together to highlight and walk through a few of the most user-requested updates.

1. Easily Add Content To Web Pages

To add new content to a page, click the ‘plus’ sign, and all of your content options will appear for you. This new feature is especially useful for pages with many content blocks, allowing you to place content in precise areas on your web pages.

You can add a wide variety of content to fit your website’s needs, including but not limited to text, images, video, and custom html.

2. Make Changes Quickly With Keyboard Shortcuts

Our new ALT-Keyboard Shortcut feature will save you time as you’re designing specific content.

Using the shortcut is simple and intuitive:

  1. Hold down the ALT button on your keyboard
  2. Click an area in the design viewer
  3. The section will show up in the design panel

Quickly navigate the website design tool by holding down the “Alt” key while clicking on any content in the preview window.

3. Enhanced Website Design Tools

The enhanced design tools are better organized with hundreds of customization features.

Background images can be added at a site-wide, page, and now block-level giving you even greater design control.

  1. Go to the design tool
  2. Click on the link to the specific page to change the background
  3. Go to Page in the design panel on the right-side of the screen
  4. Click the Background button at the bottom of the design panel

Advanced padding controls allow for more design customization of your website.

4. Social Navigation Icons

You can now add social icons to your site’s navigation menu, allowing visitors to instantly access your social media pages.

To add social navigation icons, add a new content section and select “Navigation Item.”

Click into the Navigation item section then set the ‘Type’ to ‘Social icons.' Choose the icons from the dropdown menu and add a link to the icon.

5. Reorganized Connections

Under connections, you can add and manage 3rd party content and services. We have over 30 connections that allow you to pull in content and enhance your website’s capabilities.

To get to the connections section, click the gear icon in the top navigation then select “Connections” in the sub-menu.
